    500 HID kit

    Anyone know of or using a HID light kit for their 500???

    I've searched and this was asked on here before too. No kit made for these bulbs. Modifications may be possible but I havnt seen it.

    there is no kit available but some have modified it if i remember correctly. i wasn't waiting for them to chime in since i'm no help.

    thanks, can you replace the factory bulb with a higher wattage halogen bulb or similiar?
    is the 500 lights the same as 700?

    same, idk how much i would go with more watts. not sure the limits of the wiring or the fixture to be honest. they are spendy but led light bars are extremely bright and low amps.

    i have put 2 18w 4" LED flood lights on the front and they are decently bright....up close
    They dont shine real far out though.

    i have a 40" light bar (again not cheap) but i can light the stop sign up that is 2 blocks away are you wanting that bright?

    well, ordered a set of HID lights for my 500

    got around to installing these today and they worked out....
    these will slide right into the factory socket with no modification...other than gutting the factory socket and splicing into the factory wiring harness. (no grinding or cutting)

    Let us know how the lenses hold up to the heat of an hid. Awesome find!

    will do.....they dont seem to burn that hot
    they are 10x brighter than the factory (worthless) lights
    I figured id be a guinea pig...LOL

    i went for a good ride the other night.....the hid lights are very nice and seem to be doing fine. Little to no heat and lenses are doin fine
