    500 plug is a NGK DR8EA

    700 plug is a NGK DPR8EA

we personally run a NGK DPR7EA-9 stock number 5129 in both the 500/700

    carb models-DR8EA for 500's and 700's are DPR8EA-9

Im pretty sure the EFI's run a DCPR8EA but someone else will have to confirm. Plugs listed are NGK

you are correct but there is really no difference that is going to hurt anything.

the "cp" has a different socket head and a projected insulator.

Are the spark plugs on the 500cc supposed to have this end on them? Mine doesnt have one and I'm wondering if thats not part of my problem with mine shutting off sometimes?

the cap just screws off. i dont believe the 500 or the 700 use it. your spark plug wire would just fall off if it wasn't correct. you will feel it "click" over the threads if its on correctly.

the plug i provided does not come with a cap but for some reason i believe the carb models needed the cap but not on efi.

The carb models have the same cap as the efi. i know for a fact if the cap doesn't "latch" on the plug it will come loose and you will be scratching your head as to why it just stopped (I know this one first hand)

Both carbed and efi have the caps on the plugs-at least all the ones ive seen. The plug cap used is a little sub-par and easily spreads open and doesnt latch good to plug. basically everytime you pull the cap you have to check and squeeze cap connector together so it snaps on sparkplug
